The Natural Park Dune Costiere and the High School Institute "Pantanelli-Monnet", in collaboration with the Coop. Association Gaia Environmental Tours Education&Events of Ostuni, organize a theoretical and practical course of organic beekeeping.

Bees are the best environmental indicators, as they are only present in healthy and not polluted areas.

The role of bees is crucial in pollination of crops and for the production of fruits and vegetables, and they offer several products such as honey, royal jelly, pollen and propolis.

Beekeeping is also a nondestructive model of agricultural exploitation, with environmental benefits.

The course is made up by 9 sessions lasting 3/4 hours each, for a total of 30 hours.
The meetings will take place once a week from March to May, on Saturday afternoon from 14.30 to 17.30 / 18.30 (first lesson on Saturday, March 28^th, 2015).

Registration closes on March 26^th, 2015.

The course, led by a beekeeping expert, will take place at the Technical Institute "E. Pantanelli" of  Ostuni”.

A certificate of participation will be released after completing the course.
